Crescent Hospital
Crescent
Hospital has always availed of all available opportunies to serve the
public in the area of health education and community hygiene. We not
only have organized our own public health awareness programs, but also
joined hands with whoever came forward for the same purpose. Our
doctors attend meetings and conduct programs on topics of Health
Education and Community Medicine conducted by various voluntary social
service organisations.
With the help of social service organizations and institutions,
Crescent Hospital has conducted a number of medical camps and blood
grouping camps in and around Alathur panchayat. By associating
ourselves with Little Flower Hospital, Angamaly, a free eye clinic was
conducted in the hospital on January, 1999, in which 316 patients were
examined by specialist Opthalmologists and free spectacles distributed
to the necessary. Till now, Crescent Hospital has conducted more than10
general medical camps and 19 blood grouping camps. Thousands of
patients attend these programs and free consultation and medicines are
extended to the needy. A free fortnightly gynaecology clinic at Tharur
village has been set up under the auspices of Crescent Hospital and
gynaeclolgic consultation and free medicines are delivered to a number
of pregnant ladies for whom regular check ups and expert treatment are
beyond their reach.
Crescent Hospital in association with United India Insurance Co., has
devised an Insurance scheme in which the members of the scheme are
treated free of cost in the hospital in cases of diseases &
accidents and is reimbursed later by the insurance company. Free
brochures and pamphlets containing guidance on health related topics
are distributed to the public as part of the health awareness programs.
